Mirjana Brlečić, MPharm, the CEO of Priroda liječi d.o.o., was awarded the “Vladimir Hudorović – Innovation for Success” award for the most successful businesswoman in Croatia in 2016.
The “Vladimir Hudorović” award for the business person of the year was founded by the Public Open University Zagreb. Vladimir Hudorović was born in Zagreb. He lost his parents when he was 13 and, left on his own, funded his own schooling and got a master’s degree in engineering. He loved sports, people, and Zagreb. A perfectionist in his work, he worked on numerous technological advances, including improvements in the Badel factory. Afterwards, he worked as a consultant and project leader for mechanical engineering works. Some of his most significant projects in Zagreb are the National and University Library, palace Dverce, Institute of Lexicography, crematorium, and Tkalčićeva – Radićeva – Krvavi most street block. During the 1987 Summer Universiade, he worked on the renovation of Jarun, Dinamo stadium, Medveščak sports centre... The “Vladimir Hudorović – Innovation for Success” award was founded in honour of this exceptional man, who was truly loved by the people.
